Paul Frushour

Paul Maxwell Frushour, 89, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away at 12:54 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at Baylor Southwest Hospital in Fort Worth.

A service to celebrate Paul's life was held Wednesday in the Chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Bob Smith. Interment with full military honors was provided by Macon County Honor Guard and the "Flight Home" ceremony was in Graceland Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Ill.

Paul was born March 20, 1918, in La Paz, Ind., son of Horatio Lee and Fern Reed Frushour. He and Margaret Sanner were married May 30, 1939, in St. Louis.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was at the Battle of the Bulge.

Paul and Margaret lived in Decatur before moving to Cape Girardeau. He was manager of Lowenbaum dress factory in Cape Girardeau for many years while raising his family. He later held management positions in the garment industry in Kansas City, Mo., as well as in Arkansas and California.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years; a son, Mark and his wife Carmen Ledoux-Frushour of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Ellen and her husband Daryl Wagoner of Fort Worth; a sister, Virginia Beery of Atwood, Ill.; a stepsister, Liz Hill of Decatur; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son David Allen Frushour.
