Paul J. Eeftink, 93, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.
Paul was born in the Leopold and Glennon, Missouri, area.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen; loving children, Barbara (Steven) DeVries, Bernadine (Ronald) Steininger, Belinda Meiners, Marian (Ken) Willenbrink, John (Kevin O’Hearn) Eeftink and James (Kim) Eeftink; beloved grandfather of Erin, Steven Jr., Jennifer, Jake, Keith, Kyle, Karrie, Kourtnie, Elyce, Melissa and Zachary; loving great-grandfather of Blake, Ashelyn, Jackson, Eva, Ben, Ellie and Levi; and brother, Lawrence Eeftink.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elmer Eeftink; and one sister, Gertrude Beel.
Paul loved Jesus, and had a devotion to the Blessed Mother. He was a wonderful father and husband. Paul was a talented gardener, wood carver, fisherman and musician. Bluegrass was a true passion of his, he enjoyed playing most instruments in the genre. He will always be remembered as being a very happy and humble man. Paul served in the United State Navy during World War II.
Paul was interred Jan. 13, 2017, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Florissant, Missouri.
Hutchens Mortuary and Cremation Center in Florissant, Missouri, was in charge of arrangements.
