Paul Joseph Dowdy, 72, of Sikeston died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born March 22, 1927, at Sikeston, son of Obra E. and Margie Beaird Dowdy.
He married Louise Clemons on Sept. 25, 1946.
Dowdy was a farmer and worked for several years as a foreman at Caprico Inc. in Sikeston.
During WW II, he served in the Army Air Corps.
He is survived by two daughters, Vickie Smith of Pueblo, Colo., and Pam Hollopeter of Swan Lake, Mont.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Dick Mainford officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
