MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Paul Edward Dover, 65, of Mound City died Wednesday at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 12, 1935, at Mound City, son of Mark Dover Sr. and Mildred Hayes Dover.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church at Mound City and had retired as a towboat pilot from Cargo Barge Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Survivors are two sons, Paul Edward "Eddie" Dover of Mound City and Neal Dover of Mounds, Ill.; two daughters, Delena Hannan of Rising Sun, Ind., and Lorri Loker of Grand Chain, Ill.; a foster son, Sam Wilburn of Tamms, Ill.; four brothers, John Dover of Waterloo, Ill., bobby and Mickey Dover of Olmsted, Ill., and Harry Dover of Mound City; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., with prayer services at 6 p.m.
Funeral will be at 10 am. Friday at the funeral home, with Msgr. Bill McGhee officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Mounds.
