DONGOLA, Ill. -- Paul Davidson, 79, of Dongola died Saturday, Feb. 10, 1996, at his home.
He was born April 26, 1916, at Dongola to Charles E. and Myrtle Ellen Dillow Davidson. He married Imogene Simmerman Sept. 24, 1942.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dongola and was a 50-year member of Dongola Masonic Lodge 581.
He retired in 1981 as a warehouse manager for Southern Illinois Electric Co-op. in Dongola. He also had worked as a funeral home assistant ambulance driver and had been a sexton of several area cemeteries. He and his wife also participated many craft shows.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Bobby Davidson of Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Carole Eddleman of Anna, Ill., and Linda Davidson of Genoa City, Ill.; two brothers, Howard and Harry Davidson, both of Anna; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Poole officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
