PERKINS -- Paul Allen Menz, 68, of Perkins, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 1994, at his home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1925, at Randles, son of Anthony and Mary Margaret Patterson Menz. He and Lavanda Kay James were married April 23, 1971.
Menz was a retired farmer with Avra Cox Farms in Perkins. He was a member of VFW Post 3127 at Chaffee, and Advance Eagles Club. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul Menz of Perkins, David Menz of Randles; six daughters, Patricia Brown and Ladonna Menz of Perkins, Paula Guzman and Anna Menz of Kansas City, Janie Sadler of Chaffee, Sherry Bowers of Scott City; a stepson, Terry James of Delta; a brother, Robert Menz of Perkins; three sisters, Elsie Warner of Florissant, Alice Richardson of Bell City, Lena Hogan of Perkins, and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 3 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
