Patsy Ruth Hartje, 65, 1825 Margaret, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 27, 1929, at Fulton, daughter of Ray H. and Cassie Roberts Teel. She and Walter Arnold Hartje were married July 10, 1955, at Mexico, Mo.
Hartje worked in payroll at International Shoe Co. 12 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Junior Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Christian Women's Club and Newcomers Club.
She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1988 from Belleville.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Todd Hartje of Kansas City; a daughter, Susan Hull of Mascoutah, Ill.; her mother and stepfather, Cassie and Harold Holtcamp of Mexico, Mo.; stepmother, Lissie Teel of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, William and Gene Smith of Mexico; four sisters, Garlene Holtkamp and Janet Patterson of Indianapolis, Ind., Shirley Holmes of Rantoul, Ill., Phyllis Sparks of Sedalia, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today, and then at Renner and Sons Funeral Home in Belleville from 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. David Dissen officiating. Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Valhalla Garden of Memories in Belleville.
