Patsy Puchbauer, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Pat was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Advance, Missouri, to the late Fred and Violet Black Phelps. She grew up in Advance and graduated from Advance High School in 1958. She and Carl Puchbauer were married March 18, 1961, and moved to Cape Girardeau.
Pat was a florist for 12 years before beginning her career with Drury Hotels, where she retired after 22 years.
Pat enjoyed oil painting, embroidering, crocheting, flower gardening, bowling, bird watching and canoeing the Jacks Fork River, but her favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carl Puchbauer; two sons, Michael (Paula) Puchbauer of Aurora, Colorado, and Eric (Julie) Puchbauer of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and a daughter, Amy Smith (Jim Worley) of Fenton, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Angela, Michaelle, Megan, Matthew, Jonathan, Keira, Luke and Lauren; and one great-grandchild.
Pat was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Lucas, Pauline Schwarz, Minnie Meeker and Naidene Sherman; and a brother, Doyel Phelps.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will immediately follow, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating.
A private graveside service will be at a later date in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau or Saxony Lutheran High School.
