Patsy Pickett, 74, of Jackson passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Monticello House. She was born March 19, 1945, in Arkansas to Sylvester and Marie Mitts Ross. She was a graduate of Zalma (Missouri) High School. Patsy resided several years in Sikeston, Missouri, and worked in banking. She struggled many years with a pituitary tumor. Patsy Pickett, 74, of Jackson passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Monticello House.

She was born March 19, 1945, in Arkansas to Sylvester and Marie Mitts Ross. She was a graduate of Zalma (Missouri) High School.

Patsy resided several years in Sikeston, Missouri, and worked in banking. She struggled many years with a pituitary tumor. She moved to Jackson in the 1990s and became a member of Christ Gospel Church of Millersville.

Loving survivors include a son, Jerry Leland Pickett of Jackson; three grandchildren, Cole, Camryn and Kearsten; three sisters, Liz (the late Kelly) Abernathy of Jackson, Marilyn Brewer of New Albany, Indiana, and Sandra (Rick) Freeman of Taylorville, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Bob (the late Faye) Sandusky of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six adult siblings, Faye Sandusky, Joyce (Bob) Jones, Debra (Kelly) Yates, Joann Simpson, Billy (Patricia) Ross; and Lavern (Ed) Scherpinksy; and three infant sisters, Helen, Betty and Rita Jean Stovall.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Sister Patricia Brown and Chris Deegear officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family appreciates memorial contributions to McCombs Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
