JACKSON -- Memorial service for Patrick Edgar Conner of Jackson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Grant F.C. Gillard will officiate, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Chester, Ill.
There is no visitation.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Conner, 78, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Roots, Ill., son of Edgar Ralph and Louise Moskop Conner. He and Dorothy Hoffman were married May 14, 1940.
Conner received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Alabama.
He operated the family farm at Modoc, Ill. He moved to Jackson in 1938, and was a founding co-owner of Jackson Hosiery Mill. From 1938-78 he was an on-site manager at the mill, farmed in Modoc and at Jackson.
Conner had been a member of Farm Bureau and the Tower Club in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Patrick "Rick" Conner Jr. of Portland, Texas; two daughters, Lynn Randol of Cody, Wyo., Connie Tindall of Potosi; a brother, Richard Conner, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
