PATRICIA YOUNG

JACKSON -- Patricia Ann Young, 46, of Jackson died Saturday, Jan. 27, 1996, near Pocahontas following an automobile accident.

Young was born Oct. 21, 1949, at Pleasanton, Calif., daughter of Paul and Adeline Safreno Korenak. She and Richard A. Young were married Jan. 15, 1972, at Grandin.

She received a bachelor's degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1971. She taught high school in Winona and later worked as a floral designer for Accu-Grow Sunny Hill in Cape Girardeau. Young was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors are her father of Ellsinore; her husband; three brothers, Michael Paul Korenak of Bloomfield, Thomas Korenak of Weingarten and Valentine Korenak of St. Louis; four sisters, Christine Marie Korenak of St. Louis, Antonia Grojean of Sikeston, Denise Thompson of Ellsinore and Ramonia Slayton of Beaufort.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate, with burial in the Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ripley County.
