Patricia J. Wulfers, 82, of Jackson died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
She was born May 18, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Raymond and Mildred K. (Keane) Beckman. She and George Wulfers were married Nov. 4, 1946, in Cape Girardeau. He died April 19, 1984.
Wulfers worked at Woolworth (Dime) Store as a teenager. She was owner of Pizza King and Last Chance Bar, formerly known as First and Last Chance Bar, for 27 years until 1972. It was the first bar inside the Cape Girardeau city limits. She was the manager of a 7-Eleven store from 1972 to 1978 and retired in 1979.
She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral.
She is survived by five daughters, Sandra Schoen of Oak Ridge, Mo., Barbara Wulfers of Owen, Wis,; Mary Trainor of Denver, Mickey Georger of Metropolis, Ill., Teresa Doughtery of Foley, Mo.; two sons, George Wulfers and Ray Wulfers, both of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Charlotte Hartman of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
