Tamms, Ill. -- Patricia Ann Dixon, 50, of Tamms, formerly of Murphysboro, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at the Jonesboro Rehab and Care Center. She was born Feb. 6, 1956, in Carbondale, daughter of Earl and Jean Clutts Etherton. She and Steven W. Dixon were married on Oct. 19, 1986...

Tamms, Ill. -- Patricia Ann Dixon, 50, of Tamms, formerly of Murphysboro, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at the Jonesboro Rehab and Care Center.

She was born Feb. 6, 1956, in Carbondale, daughter of Earl and Jean Clutts Etherton. She and Steven W. Dixon were married on Oct. 19, 1986.

Dixon worked as a secretary for the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce, a librarian at the Sally Logan Library in Murphysboro, an assistant manager at the former Woolworth's in Carbondale, an aide at Jackson County Nursing and Rehab Center and she also worked at the Wal-Mart in Anna.

Survivors include her husband; three brothers, Dee Etherton of Carterville, Richard Etherton of Kentucky and Michael Etherton of Murphysboro; two sisters, Toni Williams of Mayfield, Ky. and Peggy Etherton of Murphysboro.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dee Arms officiating. Interment will be at Mound City National Cemetery.
