Patricia "Pat" Clark, 67, left this life unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at her home in the arms of her husband.

She was born Dec. 18, 1946. Pat graduated from Collinsville High School in Illinois and soon after married Thomas E. Clark Sr. She and Tommy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 17, 2014.

She was a dedicated and loving friend, an exceptional caretaker and inseparable companion to her husband. Pat and Tom have two children, Thomas E. Clark Jr. (Beverly) of Caseyville, Illinois, and Pamela D. Deneke (Robert Jr.) of Cape Girardeau. She adored her two grandchildren, Sydney and Cera Deneke of Cape Girardeau, and her greatest joys were found in their eyes. She found solace and comfort sitting on the porch in the country at her aunt and uncle, Peck and Dee West's home in Loundes, Missouri. Pat was a loyal and true friend to many people who also grieve her passing, including her friends at Spring Garden Restaurant.

Pat made many memories throughout her lifetime, for herself and for those around her. Known as "Snoopy," she was an outstanding competitive softball player for more than 20 years, pitching for her husband's team, the Base Dusters. After leaving ball behind, she and Tommy turned their interest to competitive country western dancing, earning many local, state and national titles, and teaching numerous classes for others. Her children and grandchildren cherish years of hand-sewn Halloween costumes and personalized birthday cakes. Annual handmade Christmas ornaments adorn the trees of friends and family each year. Pat meant so much to many.
