Pat Huffman

TAMMS, Ill. — Patty L. "Pat" Huffman, 72, of Tamms died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at her home.

She was born July 31, 1936, at Wolf Lake, Ill., daughter of Earl and Florence Davis Ring. She and John D. Huffman were married June 6, 1953, in Tamms.

Huffman assisted her husband at J.D. Service Station 50 years. She was a charter member of Tamms United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Terry Huffman of Anna, Ill., Gary Huffman of Tamms; a daughter, Teresa Poole of Tamms; two half brothers, Doyle Hale of Pittsburg, Ill., Richard Ring of Wolf Lake; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Tamms United Methodist Church, with Pete Vinson officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in rural Dongola, Ill.
