She was a beautiful woman, not only inside, but outside as well. In 1961 she was the homecoming queen, prom queen and Hambletonian queen candidate.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends. She also enjoyed weekends at Kentucky Lake boating with friends and family. She loved to craft, collect and shop. In her older years, her favorite times were spent with her grandchildren. She was an amazing "Nana" who will be missed by all. She loved to laugh. She loved to make people smile. She was always willing to help others, and the love she gave was so pure and unyielding.

She was a best friend to family members. Although they know she is now in paradise, their world here on Earth is a little darker without her presence.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
