OVERTON DONALDSON

CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Overton Donaldson of Charleston will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

The Rev. Richard Farquhar, pastor of the Free Will Baptist Church in East Prarie, will officiate and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Mr. Donaldson died Thursday at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was 85.

He was born June 6, 1905 at Birds Point, the son of the late Tom and Sally Underwood Donaldson. He lived in Mississippi county his entire life, and was employed as a road grader operator.

Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Files and Virginia McKenzie, both of Charleston; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great, great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a son and three brothers.
