APPLE CREEK -- Otto Emile Wibbenmeyer, 85, of Apple Creek died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at the Perry Oaks Healthcare Center. He was born Dec. 12, 1911, in Cape Girardeau, son of Carl and Anna Lappe Wibbenmeyer. He married Clara Ida Schnurbusch on Oct. 4, 1938. She died Nov. 12, 1987...

APPLE CREEK -- Otto Emile Wibbenmeyer, 85, of Apple Creek died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at the Perry Oaks Healthcare Center.

He was born Dec. 12, 1911, in Cape Girardeau, son of Carl and Anna Lappe Wibbenmeyer. He married Clara Ida Schnurbusch on Oct. 4, 1938. She died Nov. 12, 1987.

He was a farmer and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek and the Western Catholic Union.

He is survived by a sister, Rose Wibbenmeyer of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. Friday, at the Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held 7 p.m. Thursday. There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, with the Rev. Terry Borgerding officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
