BLOOMFIELD -- Service for Otto Metcalf will be held at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
Metcalf, 90 years old, of Bloomfield, died at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter Saturday, Feb. 23, 1991.
He was born Feb. 25, 1901 at Diehlstadt, Mo., son of James Lawson Metcalf and Julie Ann West Metcalf.
Metcalf was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church at Aquilla, Mo.
He married Ethel Kelso on July 24, 1926. She survives.
Other survivors include sons, J. O. Metcalf of Bloomfield, Dwight Metcalf of Bell City, Duane Metcalf and Lawson Metcalf, both of dexter; daughters, Cleo Locke of Franklin, N.C., Mary Lee Sparger of Hendersonville, N.C., Ilean Hafle of Little Rock, Ark., Kay Goggin of St. Louis, and Willene Sturgeon of Bloomfield; a brother, Ray Metcalf, of Bloomfield; sister, Bertha Bollinger, of Elsberry, Mo., 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.
