AMERICA, Ill. -- Otis Eugene Kelley, 80, of Villa Ridge, Illinois, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at his residence. Eugene was born October 7, 1934, at Olive Branch, Illinois, son of William and Hazel (Hill) Kelley. Eugene was an Army veteran; a retired boiler maker for the Union Local 363; an active NRA member for more than 25 years; and a 51-year member of the Boilermakers Union. AMERICA, Ill. -- Otis Eugene Kelley, 80, of Villa Ridge, Illinois, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at his residence.

Eugene was born October 7, 1934, at Olive Branch, Illinois, son of William and Hazel (Hill) Kelley.

Eugene was an Army veteran; a retired boiler maker for the Union Local 363; an active NRA member for more than 25 years; and a 51-year member of the Boilermakers Union. He was of the Baptist and Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Orba Lee Kelley of Villa Ridge; four sons, David Eugene Kelley of LaCenter, Kentucky, Charles Ray Kelley of Granhamville, Kentucky, Michael Anthony Kelley of Bandana, Kentucky, and James Randall Kelley of America, Illinois; a sister, Sharon Beegle of Pawnee, Illinois; a brother, William O. Kelley of Carlinville, Illinois; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge with the Revs. Buddy Walls and Scott Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mound City National Cemetery, Mound City, Illinois with full military honors given by the Illinois National Guard Burial Team and area veterans.

Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
