EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Otis L. Ivie, 73, of East Prairie died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born Sept. 27, 1926, in East Prairie, son of Harve Allen and Cleo Eunice Lindsey Ivie. He and Emma Jean Grigsby were married Nov. 18, 1948, in Osceola, Ark...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Otis L. Ivie, 73, of East Prairie died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Sept. 27, 1926, in East Prairie, son of Harve Allen and Cleo Eunice Lindsey Ivie. He and Emma Jean Grigsby were married Nov. 18, 1948, in Osceola, Ark.

Ivie lived in Mississippi County all his life. He retired in 1984 as a lineman with Missouri Utilities Co.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, LaDonna McMillion of Sikeston, Charlotte Hogendobler of Red Bud, Ill.; three brothers, L.B. and George Ivie of East Prairie, Harvey Ivie of Sikeston; two sisters, Juanita Britt and Evelyn Eaves of East Prairie; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Burl Britt officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park.
