MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Otho Ferguson, Mounds Route 1, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds. The Rev. F. Jerry Herring will officiate, with burial in the Masonic Cemetery at Grand Chain.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m.
Ferguson, 92, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born July 6, 1904, in Mound City, son of Jerome and Daisey Sneed Ferguson. His wife Sylvia died Oct. 28, 1996.
Ferguson retired as an inspector with Illinois Central Railroad. He attended Pilgrim Congregational Church in Mound City.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Miller of Mounds; a son, Homer Ferguson of Chesterfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
