MARBLE HILL -- Otho "Bud" Colbert, 78, of Ballwin died Monday, April 7, 1997, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood. He was born Oct. 24, 1918, at Messler, son of Jacob and Eunice Alma Slater Colbert. He and Elda M. Hahn were married Aug. 11, 1946. He was a heating and air-conditioning worker for the Kirkwood School System, retiring in 1980. MARBLE HILL -- Otho "Bud" Colbert, 78, of Ballwin died Monday, April 7, 1997, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood.

He was born Oct. 24, 1918, at Messler, son of Jacob and Eunice Alma Slater Colbert. He and Elda M. Hahn were married Aug. 11, 1946.

He was a heating and air-conditioning worker for the Kirkwood School System, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Christy Park General Baptist Church in St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Jack Colbert of Mitchell, Ill.; four sisters, Goldie Lanham and Pat Payne, both of Springfield, Edna Evans of Benton, Ark., and Joy McIntosh of Mehlville.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
