Othmar Wibbenmeyer

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Othmar J. Wibbenmeyer, 97, of Perryville died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at the Independence Care Center in Perryville.

Othmar was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Perryville, to B. Henry and Julia Buchheit Wibbenmeyer. He married Trula Sauer on April 23, 1945, in Apple Creek, she preceded him in death in 2006.

He was a farmer and a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Missouri.

Othmar is survived by three sons, Marvin Wibbenmeyer of Manchester, Missouri, Kenneth Wibbenmeyer of Indianapolis and Bernard Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Wibbenmeyer of Florissant, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation will continue from 6:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. The Rev. Jim French will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Maurus Parish.
