ORAN -- Ossie Lee Williams, 71, Oran Route 1, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 1994, at Incarnate Word Medical Center in St. Louis.
She was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Clayton, Miss., daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Laura Ann Griffin Braxton. She and Wince Lee Williams were married Dec. 12, 1942. He died Sept. 5, 1979.
Williams had been a cleaner/presser at Faultless Cleaners in Sikeston. She was a member of New Home Church in Oran.
Survivors include six sons, W.C. and Robert Williams of St. Louis, James and John Williams of Sikeston, Clarence Williams of the home, Willie Braxton of Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Deloris Williams of St. Louis. Mary Williams of the home; a brother, Louis Braxton of Detroit; 17 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston after 7 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at West End Baptist Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Robert Gipson officiating. Burial will be in Haywood City Cemetery.
