CHAFFEE -- Oscar McAlister, 85, of Chaffee died Monday, Sept. 30, 1991, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

He was born Jan. 6, 1906 in New Madrid County, the son of James and Pearl Newhouse McAlister.

He retired in 1970 as a self-employed farmer. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

Survivors are two brothers, Stack McAlister, Chaffee, Felix McAlister, Lexington, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charlie Shrum officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Maple Cemetery in Caruthers~ville.
