OSCAR CURT

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Oscar Curt, 97, of Olmsted died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

He was born Nov. 6, 1903, near Olmsted, son of August and Eva Rinehart Curt. He and Dessie Corzine were married in 1933.

Curt lived all his life in the house where he was born in Pulaski County. He had peach orchards and was a cattle and vegetable farmer. He served on the First State Bank of Olmsted Board of Directors 46 years.

He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Ullin, 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus in Cairo and a member of Farm Bureau.

Survivors include three nephews, Joe Ulrich of Anna, Donald Ledbetter of Ullin, Richard Ledbetter of Riverside, Calif., and a niece, Pricilla Brantley of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 5:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Grand Chain, Ill. The Rev. Bill McGhee will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
