PERRYVILLE -- Oscar C. Kassel, 95, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 13, 1897, at Uniontown, son of Christian and Sulameth Hopfer Kassel. He and Paula Oberndorfer were married June 4, 1933.
Kassel was former owner of Frohna Machine Shop in Perryville. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Men's Club, and Lutheran Laymen's League.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nancy Wills of Crown Point, Ind., Joyce Essman of Bryan, Ohio; a brother, Edwin Kassel of Louisiana; a sister, Elda Niswonger of Whitewater; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.
