MCGEE -- Oscar Alonzo Walk, 89, of McGee, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 1991, at Puxico Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 28, 1901, at Arab, son of Isaac and Katie Lincoln Walk. He and Maymie Burnley were married Sept. 27, 1923, in Corning, Ark.
Walk was a retired farmer, and member of Bright Prospect General Baptist Church near here.
Survivors include a son, Claud Walk of McGee; six daughters, Jean Smith and Christine Berrong of McGee, Maxine Davis of Corcoran, Calif., Pauline Kibler of St. Charles, Eula Berrong of St. Ann, Carol Hamlin of Bridgeton; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, a granddaughter and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Lee Roy Hefner will officiate, with burial in New Hope-McGee Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:30-9 p.m. today.
