MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Charles Orville Thomas, 89, of Miller City died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 26, 1914, at Sikeston, Mo., son of Calvin and Fannie Dodson Thomas. He and Dimple Stuart were married Dec. 17, 1936.
Thomas was a United Methodist minister and a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church. He worked construction and was a school bus driver of Cairo School District 1.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Keith Thomas of Palatine, Ill., and Stephen Thomas of Olive Branch; two daughters, Sheila Adams of Maryville, Ill., and Joyce Montgomery of Beaumont, Texas; three brothers, Jack Thomas of Miller City, Ill., Bobby Thomas of Olive Branch, Ill., and Paul Thomas of Lake of Egypt, Ill.; two sisters, Helen Pearman of Cape Girardeau and Jessie Meurn of New Port Richey, Fla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Herring officiating.
