PERRYVILLE -- Orville Earl Johnson, 83, of Perryville, died Saturday April 16, 1994 at the Aspen Forest Care Center. He was born July 22, 1910 in Yount, Mo., the son of John and Lizzie (Thompson) Johnson.
On Feb. 28, 1930 he married Esther Florence Hutson, who survives.
He was a retired carpenter with J.S. Alberici Construction Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Church in Fredericktown, and the Carpenters Union Local #73 in St. Louis.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Johnson of St. Louis; two daughters, Edna Walter of St. Louis and Marie Pippin Bartlet of Kingdom, Arizona; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, four sisters, and one granddaughter.
Visitation at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville will be from 3:30-9 p.m. today. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Carl Cureton and Rev. Gene Proffer co-officiating.
Burial will follow in the Whitewater Christian Cemetery.
