ORITA ROLA

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Orita M. Rola, 96, of Perryville died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at her home.

She was born July 5, 1904, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Charles T. and Elizabeth Layton Hayden. She and Elliott J. Rola were married Nov. 23, 1946. He died March 9, 1985.

Rola was a registered nurse. She was a 1923 graduate of St. John's Mercy School of Nursing. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church at Brewer, Mo., and its Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include a niece, Suzanne Stokes of St. Louis; two nephews, James Michaud of Canon City, Colo., and John Michaud of Anchorage, Alaska.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday. The wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Monday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the Savior Church. The Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
