ADVANCE -- Oral C. DeJournett, 84, of Advance, died Monday, March 7, 1994, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born Aug. 31, 1909, near Essex, son of Cleve and Edna Bledsoe DeJournett. He married the former Irene Adams, who preceded him in death.
DeJournett was a retired construction worker. He lived in Kansas City several years, moving to the Bell City-Advance area 20 years ago.
Survivors include three brothers, James DeJournett of Pocahontas, Ark., Ivan DeJournett of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Alvin DeJournett of Advance; three sisters, Kathleen Cook and Veda Teets of Advance, and Thelma Burchett of Warren, Mich.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doyle Stogsdill officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
