CHARLESTON -- Ora Lee Kirkwood, 64, of Charleston, died Sunday, March 22, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center, following an extended illness.

She was born June 27, 1927, at Clarkton, daughter of E.D. and Lilly May Harris Coleman. She married Theoda Kirkwood April 20, 1946, who died Jan. 18, 1992.

Kirkwood was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church here.

Survivors include seven sons, Artie and Jerome Kirkwood of Charleston, Douglas and Richard Kirkwood of Kansas City, Kan., Theoda Jr., Edgar and Michael Kirkwood of Bloomington, Ill.; six daughters, Alice Ewing, Shirley Haynes and Lori Kirkwood of Charleston, Pansay Randle of Kansas City, Kan., Yvonne and Linda Kirkwood of Evanston, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Coleman of Charleston; a brother, Eddie Coleman Jr. of Salem, Ore.; 25 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two sisters and a brother.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church here. The Rev. Lavern Frazier will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
