MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Mrs. Opal Wingo of Mounds will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Al Slater will officiate, with burial in Mound City National Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.

Mrs. Wingo, 90 years old, died Monday, Dec. 17, 1990, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 12, 1900, in Bradford, Tenn., daughter of John and Vera Young. She married Wave Wingo, who died in 1971.

Mrs. Wingo was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include a son, Edward Wingo of St. Louis, and two grandchildren.
