SIKESTON -- Opal Violet Presson, 92, of Sikeston died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born July 5, 1906 at East Prairie to William C. Combs and Pearl Cusick. On June 29, 1936, she married William D. Presson. He died Sept. 23, 1977...
SIKESTON -- Opal Violet Presson, 92, of Sikeston died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born July 5, 1906 at East Prairie to William C. Combs and Pearl Cusick.
On June 29, 1936, she married William D. Presson. He died Sept. 23, 1977.
She had been a teacher at East Prairie Elementary School.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Sikeston.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel at Sikeston.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery.
