Opal Roberts, 84, of Hillsboro died Thursday, March 13, 1997, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born July 14, 1912, at Salem, daughter of Tom and Emmaline Lampkin Mounce. She and the Rev. Arley M. Roberts were married Jan. 25, 1930.
Roberts assisted her husband in pastorates at Bartley, Berryman, Glory Hill, Potosi, Steele, Scott City, Webb City, Mercer, and DeSoto.
Survivors include seven daughters, Ruth Marshall, Emmagene Ratliff and Sharon Schmitt, all of Cape Girardeau, Grace Brewer of High Ridge, Bernice Ross of Hillsboro, Frances Held of Festus, Shirley Beecham of Martin, Tenn.; a son, Larry Roberts of Doniphan; a sister, Lola Diem of Salem; a brother, Ray Mounce of High Ridge; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in DeSoto from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
