Opal Fatchett, 94, of Fenton, Mo., formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2011, at her home.

She was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Brazeau, Mo., daughter of Joe and Lulu Byrd Lybarger. She and Charles R. Fatchett were married June 24, 1949, in Jackson. He passed away in 1995.

Opal was a lifelong member of Brazeau Presbyterian Church. She worked at Jackson Hosiery Mill for a brief period of time, and was a loving mother. She and her family moved to Jackson from Crystal Lake, Ill., in 1982. She moved to Fenton in 2005 to live with a daughter.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Shawn L. Jonsson of Fenton, Marsha Jo Brown of Jackson; three grandchildren, Niccole Kiefer, Dawn Skipper, Brandy Brown; five great-grandchildren, Brittany and Logan Kiefer, Denee and Nickalas Lawrence, and Cody Skipper.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Thursday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
