ZALMA -- Opal Corbin Hodge, 86, of Zalma, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 13, 1905, at Zalma, daughter of Leo and Ida Mae Eaker Slinkard. She married Ail H. Corbin in 1923, who preceded her in death. She and Aaron Hodge were married in 1971. He died in July 1987.
Hodge attended Missionary Baptist Church at Zalma.
Survivors include a son, Zane Corbin of Zalma; three daughters, Lema Hughes of Temple, Texas, Dorothy Choate and Deanna Humphreys of Zalma; a brother, Kerl Slinkard of St. Louis; five sisters, Ruby Thomas of Advance, Polly Matthews of Winter Haven, Fla., DeSha Fronabarger of Lakeland, Fla., Jane Tucker of Cape Girardeau, Mollie Gray of Santee, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and a granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dale Fish will officiate, with burial in Berrong Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:30-9 p.m. Saturday.
