SIKESTON -- Opal Beardslee, 91, of Sikeston died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born April 5, 1906, in Dunklin County, daughter of Dr. T.E. and Eugenia Harris Tomlinson. She and Harry B. Beardslee were married Sept. 27, 1928, in Piggott, Ark. He died Nov. 30, 1975...

SIKESTON -- Opal Beardslee, 91, of Sikeston died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 5, 1906, in Dunklin County, daughter of Dr. T.E. and Eugenia Harris Tomlinson. She and Harry B. Beardslee were married Sept. 27, 1928, in Piggott, Ark. He died Nov. 30, 1975.

Beardslee had lived in Sikeston 21 years, moving from Rector, Ark. She had been a registered nurse.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and a member and past president of Women's Federated Club in Rector.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with Dr. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
