SIKESTON, Mo. -- Omie May Hale, 84, of Sikeston died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at Miner Nursing Center. She was born June 5, 1917, in Lanty, Ark., daughter of Virgil Monroe and Virdie Jane Davis Powell. She and William Sherdie Hale were married Feb. 7, 1963, in Sikeston. He died May 16, 1989...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Omie May Hale, 84, of Sikeston died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born June 5, 1917, in Lanty, Ark., daughter of Virgil Monroe and Virdie Jane Davis Powell. She and William Sherdie Hale were married Feb. 7, 1963, in Sikeston. He died May 16, 1989.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Doyle Powell.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Quillman Sr. will officiate.
