SIKESTON, Mo. -- Omer Wilson Sutton, 91, of Matthews, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born May 19, 1912, in Miner, Mo., son of Marcus and Elle Green Sutton. He and Elsie Rushing were married Oct. 2, 1937.
Sutton was a farmer. He had lived in Matthews for over 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Joe Sutton of Matthews and Greg Sutton of Sikeston; a daughter, Judy Hannan of Trezevant, Tenn.; six grandchildren, including one who was raised in the home, John Powell of New Madrid, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, six brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donald Heitman will officiating. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Sikeston.
