ADVANCE -- Omalea Umfleet, 82, of Louisiana, Mo., died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Mantee, Miss., daughter of James Caleb and Tinnie Angeline Pennington Tedder. She and Henry R. Umfleet were married Dec. 31, 1930, in Blytheville, Ark. He died Oct. 2, 1985.
Umfleet was employed at Campbell Cleaners in Louisiana more than 30 years, retiring in 1987.
Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Pritchett of Vandalia, Mary Hartman of Orlando, Fla., Esther Rowe of St. Louis; a son, Loren Umfleet of New London, Mo.; a sister, Susie Haynie of Madisonville, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Burial will be in Balch Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until service time.
