Oma C. Copeland, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at her home. She was born March 20, 1926, at McClure, Ill., daughter of Everett and Julia Riehl Endy. She and Henry "Jake" Copeland were married Nov. 9, 1945, at Cape Girardeau. She was a resident of Cape Girardeau for more than 50 years and was a homemaker. Oma C. Copeland, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at her home.

She was born March 20, 1926, at McClure, Ill., daughter of Everett and Julia Riehl Endy. She and Henry "Jake" Copeland were married Nov. 9, 1945, at Cape Girardeau.

She was a resident of Cape Girardeau for more than 50 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Temple.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Donald and Henry Copeland Jr., both of Cape Girardeau, David Copeland of Chaffee and Danny Copeland of Jackson; a daughter, Donna Smith of Four Seasons; two brothers, Bruce Endy of Fairborn, Ohio, and Don Endy of Greenville, Ohio; four sisters, Edna Franklin of Marion, Ill., Daisy Harmon of Hardin, Ill., Evelyn Decker of Marysville, Ill., and Mary Jackson of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

A private funeral will be held for the family members. The Revs. Eddie Dodson and Clarence Bogetto will officiate, with burial in the Lindsey Cemetery in East McClure, Ill.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home on Sprigg Street is in charge of the arrangements.
