ZALMA -- Oliver F. Jackson, 70, of Zalma, died Friday, Oct. 10, 1995, at his home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1925, at East Prairie, son of Frank and Mamie Carrol Jackson.
He was retired from Granite City Steel.
He and Christine Davis were married July 7, 1946, at Alton, Ill.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Charles of Topeka, Kan., Johnnie of South Roxanna, Ill., and Jimmy and Lonnie of Granite City, Ill.; two daughters, Martha and Faye of Granite City; two brothers, Bob Jackson of Bloomfield and Bill Jackson of Bethalto, Ill.; three sisters, Georgia Cookemboo of Zalma, Doris Esparza of St. Louis and Sue Esparza of Bethalto; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Johns will officiate, with burial in Brush Creek Cemetery near Zalma.
