Olive Elder

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Olive M. "Ollie" Elder, 88, of Perryville died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born April 11, 1925, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., daughter of Lawrence and Edna (Morice) Jacob. She was married to William "Pat" Elder on Sept. 21, 1965. He preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1987.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn (Irwin) Hennemann of Perryville; three grandchildren, Denise (Duane) Ernst of Perryville, Mark Hennemann of St. Peters, Mo., and Lisa (Jeremy) Meyer of Perryville; eight grandchildren, Kindle (Ryan) Mueller, Zachary Ernst, Miranda and Mason Hennemann, Ashley, Megan, Jacob and Sydney Meyer; and a great-great-granddaughter, Ava Ernst-Ochs.

At the request of Ollie, there will be no visitation or service as she donated her body to science.

Memorials are preferred to Ste. Genevieve Nutrition Center where she worked many volunteer hours.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
