OLGA M. HECHT

Olga M. Hecht, 81, of Altenburg died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born March 17, 1919, at Perry County, daughter of Arthur and Erna Engert Pilz. She and Ben C. Hecht were married April 9, 1939. He died May 24, 1988. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, where she was in the choir, LWML and Ladies Aid. She was a member of Altenburg Homemakers and East Perry Fair Hall Displays...

Olga M. Hecht, 81, of Altenburg died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born March 17, 1919, at Perry County, daughter of Arthur and Erna Engert Pilz. She and Ben C. Hecht were married April 9, 1939. He died May 24, 1988.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, where she was in the choir, LWML and Ladies Aid. She was a member of Altenburg Homemakers and East Perry Fair Hall Displays.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Hecht of Altenburg and Dale Hecht of Jackson; two daughters, Carol Henderson of St. Louis and Karen Woltemath of York, Neb.; three sisters, Nelda Starzinger of Jackson, Lorna Gerler of Perryville and Lorene Wachter of Belleville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one infant daughter and one brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 4-8 p.m. today and from 6:30-8 a.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Charles Weber officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Church Cemetery.
