OLGA HOPPER

ULLIN, Ill. -- Olga Irene Hopper, 89, of Ullin died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 28, 1908, at Pulaski, daughter of Edward and Essie Curry Rives. She married Ernest "Nip" Hopper, who preceded her in death.

Hopper had been a secretary and bookkeeper. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and Caledonia Eastern Star Chapter 578, both in Pulaski.

Survivors include four daughters, Mildred Tice of San Diego, Calif., Ann Holloman of Marion, Ky., Clara Pomeroy of Dongola, Merri Seals of Brookport; two sons, Ernest Hopper of Monroeville, Ala., Dean Hopper of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Charles Rives of Cairo; a sister, Wilda Kinslow; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, four sisters, and a brother.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski, with the Rev. Herman Painter officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Pulaski.

Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
