ANNA, Ill. -- Oley M. Toler, 89, of Anna died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at Union County Hospital.
He was born Nov. 12, 1908, in Anna, son of Monroe and Flora McNeill Toler. He and Opal Pearlene Hileman were married Nov. 11, 1931, in Dongola.
Toler retired in 1975 as assistant director of the Kane County Youth Center with the state of Illinois. He was a member of Mission Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Wanda Toler of Ingleside; a son, Bill Toler of Anna; a half sister, Elsie Simmerman of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a half brother.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
