MARBLE HILL -- Oletha G. Nanney, 69, of Marble Hill died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at St. Louis University Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 1927, at Grassy to Earl and Mary Ellen Spain Robbins.
In 1942 she married Thomas G. Gromer, who died in 1976. She married Jeff Lee Nanney July 14, 1984.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mary Ell Johnson of Marble Hill; three sons, Arnold Gromer of Patton, Roger Gromer of Marble Hill, BIll Ray Gromer of Sedgewickville; five daughters, Betty Cureton and Darlene Cook of Marble Hill, Imogene Fisher of Kennett, Ruth Ann House of Springfield and Lela Rena Gromer of Patton; one sister, Betty E. Frymire of Marble Hill; 31 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death.
Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery at Grassy.
